A rare edition of the novel Maruszjá by Mária Blaskó, a Hungarian teacher and writer, published in 1926 in Budapest. The novel was inspired by the 1925 jubilee year. It depicts a “modern” Roman pilgrimage and delves into the profound reflection of life’s journey. The main character, Maruszjá, a mysterious Russian beauty with a captivating voice, gains questionable fame as a chansonette in Venice. The story revolves around Kende Márta, a young Catholic writer searching for spiritual balance amidst her literary and social endeavors.
