The first Serbian translation of the famous French novel, The Adventures of Telemachus. The slender plot of this work fills out a gap in Homer’s Odyssey, recounting the educational travels of Telemachus, son of Ulysses, accompanied by his tutor, Mentor, who is revealed at the end of the story to be Minerva, goddess of wisdom, in disguise.

Binding: Original quarter leather binding. Signs of wear, minute damage on the edges, and minor damage on the spine cover.
Condition: Half-title page, title page, and pp. I-IV missing. Ink and pencil inscription on pp. V and endpaper, pp. V-16 damaged, foxing, minor wormholes damage on some of the pages not affecting text integrity, stains on some of the pages, stain from pp. 1 through to 369 not affecting text integrity. Wrinkles from the pp. 597 through to pp. 602.
