***
Ninth volume of “Die Philosophie der Religion”, written by German philosopher and theologian Sigmund von Storchenau. When he was 16 years old, Sigmund entered the Order of the Society of Jesus, in which he remained until its dissolution. After taking religious vows he obtained the philosophical and theological doctorate. At the age of thirty, he was awarded the chair of logic and metaphysics at the University of Vienna, to whose fame he worked through a decade. After the abolition of his order, he returned to his homeland, to live in the same little room that he had as a student. “Die Philosophie der Religion” is considered as one of his most influential works.
