The Battle of Ensheim, occurred on October 4, 1674, during the Franco-Dutch War (1672-1678). It was fought near the village of Enzheim in present-day France, not far from Strasbourg. The map depicts the terrain, troop dispositions, and key elements of the battle.
The map is from the second volume of the book Histoire du Vicomte du Turenne, printed in 1749 in Paris
