Antique Map Petrovaradin (Peterwardien)

This antique map of Petrovaradin and its surroundings was created very quickly after the Battle of Petrovaradin on August 5, 1716. Although the battle lasted only five hours, Prince Eugene of Savoy defeated the Turkish garrison. Damit Ali Pasha’s tent fell into the hands of the Habsburgs after the battle and is currently in the Vienna Historical Museum. Damit Ali Pasha was mortally wounded during the fight and immediately after his arrival in Belgrade, he was buried in a tomb in the Belgrade Fortress. No damage, in excellent condition.
