Extremely rare illustrated magazine featuring various aircraft models and modelers in the former republic of Yugoslavia. A lot of four booklets include the first number, as well as numbers 3-4 and 9-10.
The lot contains issues of the “Vazduhoplovni Modelar” prior to 1951 when the association was transferred from Ruma to Belgrade. The Federal Aeronautic Modelling School (Savezna Vazduhoplovna Modelarska Škola) was founded in 1947 in Ruma as a part of the Aeronautical Association of Yugoslavia (Vazduhoplovni Savez Jugoslavije). The main objective of the FAMS was to popularize aeronautics and engineering in schools. The association held presentations and seminars in schools across Yugoslavia. The Aeronautic Modeller (Vazduhoplovni Modelar) was an official magazine of the FAMS. After 1951, the school was renamed and reorganized into what was known as Institute for Aeronautical Modelling (Institut za vazduhoplovno modelarstvo). After the institute gained popularity and funding, it started producing model replicas of radio-guided and unguided aircraft.
The magazines contain information on various modeling techniques, models, and events relevant to the FAMS.
In this magazine, various techniques, models, and information about the events that occurred. The visit of the head of state, Josip Broz Tito at the FANS popularized the organization.

Currently, there are no other copies of this magazine for sale.
WorldCat finds only one copy of one number of the magazine in the University of Sydney Library. The only other copy of the magazine can be found in the National Library of Serbia.
