The book Apostoli i Jevanđelja (The Apostles and Gospels) was published in 1862. The book was intended for the broader Orthodox public in the mid-19th century.
A writer, linguist, and patron of Serbian culture, Platon Atanacković had a diverse range of interests and activities. He served as the bishop of the Eparchy of Bačka, highlighting his involvement in the Serbian Orthodox Church.
As the president of Matica Srpska, Platon Atanacković played a significant role in promoting Serbian culture and religion.
