Apostles and gospels – book translated into Serbian language by Platon Atanackovic, bishop of Buda (1839-1851) and Backa (1851-1867), writer, political activist and a great benefactor of Serbian Education. Overall, Platon was a significant public figure in Serbian life of 19th century Austro-Hungary Empire.
Book is written on Church-Slavonic language on the left side (even pages) and on Serbian on the right (odd pages) and has four illustrated plates.

Binding: Original cloth binding. Minor imperfections.
Condition: Ink and pencil inscription through the text block. Foxing, some minor tears mostly not affecting text legibility, wrinkle on pp. 185-186, some of the pages restaurated.
