Half leather binding with raised bands, detached from the book block. Previous owner’s signature on fly leaf and title page. Pp. 391-394 and 757-760 detached. pp. 757–760 wrinkled and torn along the edges. Occasional pencil underlining and some notes on maps and few more places. Signs use and aging, water and foxing stains, dog ears. Pp. V/VI: part of bottom corner torn out, affecting the text; pp. 37/38 approximately quarter of leaf missing – torn out; pp. 101/102: small part of bottom corner missing, affecting the text; Pp. 417/418: approximately one sixth of the leaf torn out, affecting the text; some tissue guards missing.
