Luthier is a craftsman who makes and repairs stringed instruments. This wonderful rare dictionary contains all the terminology related to this beautiful craft.
It also contains full-page portraits of some of the most famous luthiers in history, such as Mario Stradivari and Emile Francais, and much other interesting stuff.

Binding: Fine hardcover binding with raised bands and gilted cover. The panels are decorated with pictures of the violoncello. Spine extremes damaged, edges worn, loose hinges with spine slant.
Condition: Inscriptions on the flyleaf tell us about the purchase history of the book, or to whom and when it was sold. Signed and dated by both owners. Half-title page also slightly stained, clean and bright copy otherwise.
