Presentation of the treatment of individual forms of illness, fever, and chronic diseases in a broader sense. Interesting manuals with case studies by Ignaz Rudolf Bischoff (1784-1850), a professor of medicine in Prague and head of the medical clinic at the Josephs Academy in Vienna. He was of great service to the dissemination of vaccination against the smallpox plague, which claimed large numbers of lives among the population and was considered an authority during the typhus epidemics in Bohemia. Bischoff’s merits are primarily to be found in his achievements as a general practitioner and as a clinical teacher.
