Ossang King Arthur’s Adventures
F.J. Ossang AVENTURES ET MORT D’ARTHUR STRIKE (Roman) This is the first manuscript version of Ossang’s novel La mort d’Arthur Strike, issued in 1988. This is a copy that was made on a typing machine, with some Ossang’s handwriting remarks, and photocopied.
Size: 29,7 x 21 cm. Pp. /4/, 311, 2l blank. Bound in cardboard covers. This is a unique example of Ossang’s work. F.J. Ossang wrote this piece, inspired by a compilation by Sir Thomas Malory of Romance tales about the legendary King Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, and the Knights of the Round Table (first published in 1485 by William Caxton). Many modern Arthurian writers have used Malory as their principal source, including T. H. White for his popular The Once and Future King and Tennyson for The Idylls of the King. The covers are slightly stained and have minor tears on them.
