This edition is collection of three best satiric short stories written by Radoje Domanovic, most prolific writer in this genre in Serbia at a time. First story represents reinvented folk hero Prince Marko who is placed in modern world. Marko asks permission from God to return to earth and help his countrymen. His wish is granted, and the brave and strong Marko finds himself in Belgrade. Unfortunately, his way of dealing with situations, by striking his enemies with his heavy mace, is not appreciated either by the authorities or by the ordinary men and women in the street. There are many lessons that Marko must learn, if he is to succeed. Other two stories are politically directed toward contemporary government in Serbia. Danga(The Seal) represents symbolic and metaphoric criticism of people and politics in contemporary Serbia through act of marking and public humiliation. Main subject of Vodja (The Leader) is blind leader who leads people, naturally, in wrong way. Subject of satire in this story is considered to be Nikola Pasic, who then was head of government.
