Károly Edvi Illés was a Hungarian lawyer, legal scholar, and a corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA). Born on June 26, 1842, in Somogyszil and passing away on April 6, 1919, in Budapest, he made significant contributions to the field of law and legal studies in Hungary during his lifetime.
He held the title of Doctor of Laws and specialized in exchange law. As a legal scholar, he conducted research and wrote extensively on various legal topics, contributing to the development and understanding of legal principles in Hungary. His work likely had an impact on legal education and practice in the country.
