Soko Kraljevine Jugoslavije (Sokol Movement of Kingdom of Yugoslavia) was an unique knightly organization with purpose of ethical and physical education of citizens in Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Movement was founded in 1929. The goal of the Sokol was to raise physically healthy, morally strong and nationally aware citizens of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, all of which parallel the upbringing of the body and soul by the Tyrsian Sokol system. A member of the Sokol Movement could be any “grown-up and chaste” citizen, and there were also children of Sokols. The organization headquarters were in Belgrade. There are Sokol Movements in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia and Poland.
