School English teacher Yuri Mikhailovich Chernov begins to see strange dreams about an unfamiliar Amber planet. Trying to figure it out, he turns to the sleep lab for help. After conducting a series of research experiments, Chernov learns that his quick dreams symbolize our Solar System. Soon Chernov becomes aware that there is another person on Earth who, like him, has quick dreams about the Amber Planet. He goes to him abroad, however, arriving at the place he finds out that this man was recently killed.
