A woodcut antique veduta featuring a miniature panoramic view of the city of Belgrade, Serbia. The view shows the city’s buildings, churches, town walls, and surrounding landscape. Two sailing ships on the Danube River adorn the view. German text on the verso and on the recto.

The plate has been published in the 1578 German edition of Münster’s “Cosmographia Universalis”.

The Cosmographia (“Cosmography”) by Sebastian Münster (1488–1552) from 1544 is the earliest German-language description of the world.
