Antique Map Isle de Cherzo
The engraving map titled “Isle de Cherzo” is a historical map of the island of Cres, located in the northern part of the Adriatic Sea, off the western coast of Croatia. The map was printed in Marseille in 1764 and created by a French cartographer and engraver, Joseph Roux.
The map was part of an atlas titled “Plans de Ports et Rades de la Mer Mediterannee” (Plans of Ports and Roads of the Mediterranean Sea), which featured detailed maps of various ports and harbors throughout the Mediterranean region. The atlas was intended to be a useful resource for sailors and merchants who needed accurate information about the coastlines and waterways of the region.
