The constitution albums spread over twenty-five years and was kept at the Palais Royal. Of the 114 volumes it keeps track, 75 are now kept in Versailles which contain only 65 prints. The albums were then kept in Anjou mansion, near Brussels, in the collection of Henri d’Orléans Count of Paris, and then, when in 1948 the prince and his family left Belgium to settle in Portugal, volumes were put in public sale in Brussels. At the request of Charles Mauricheau-Beaupré, the Count of Paris agreed to withdraw volumes and sold them at Versailles for 1.2 million francs.
