Lot of 3 Letters from Branica Family in Zlarin
***
The lot features a stamped document from 1818 and two letters, signed by Gašpar and Ivan Branica (Gasparo and Giovanni Branizza) to their brother. The letters were written between 1877-78 in Zlarin, Croatia. The correspondence sheds light on the waning state of olive cultivation, which later contributed to an agricultural crisis in Zlarin, that hasn’t recovered to this day. The letters also serve as a valuable artifact for the Branica family, who originated from Šibenik.
