French translation of a collection of stories written by Henri Zschokke and his short biography. Johann Heinrich Daniel Zschokke had an extensive civil service career in Switzerland. He wrote histories, fiction and other works which were widely known.

Binding: Original quarter leather binding with glitstamped edges. Minor damage along the edges, top right edge of the front cover damaged, damage on the back covers (4 x 4cm) (see scans), damage on the bottom of the spine cover, tear on the front joint (1,5 cm), signs of wear. Condition: Pencil inscription on the flyleaf and title page. Uncut, foxing.
