First issue of Yugoslav newspaper Borba
First number of the independent newspaper Borba / Борба issued in Zagreb on the 19th February 1922. The first issue explains the aims and the ethics of the newspaper affirming them as independent while it acted as the official gazette of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia (LCY), a party banned in 1920. During World War II Borba was published in Užice. After the WWII its publication moved to Belgrade, between 1948 – 1987, the newspaper was published simultaneously in Zagreb and Belgrade.
